Day Thirteen: Strawberry Lemonade

Dub and I went for a walk this morning and practically caught fire. Sheesh! It's not right to be one hundred and fifty degrees at 8:30. When we got home, we needed something refreshing and strawberry lemonade fit the bill.

We juiced our lemons, and boy did that smell good.

Then we cooked up a simple syrup that included water, sugar, and hulled strawberries.

After that boiled up and the sugar dissolved, we poured the syrup through a strainer so as to catch seeds and other bits. Then we combined the two liquids and served it up.

I, of course, diluted W's lemonade with water. It was the perfect post-walk beverage.

You better not take away this cup, lady!
