Day Nine: Homemade Popsicles

W has some heavy hitting teeth coming in, and he's drooling like a mad man. I thought popsicles might feel good on his little gums and be a nice summer treat. This popsicle has 1/2 c. water, 1/2 c. orange juice, and 1/2 c. seedless watermelon. I blended it all up, then used my pancake pen to distribute it evenly among the 6 wells in my popsicle holder (thanks, JP).

The result was a hit. W didn't know where to put his second hand, so he kept wrapping it around the popsicle. He liked it so much, he shared it with Stella. :) Bad dog!

First taste: cripes! This is cold!

I've got this under control now!

I found tons of healthy recipes here. There are a few for yogurt popsicles, which I plan on trying next. I also had leftover popsicle "batter", so I poured it into a cup and served it for breakfast. It went over like gang busters.

So that is Day Nine: creating popsicles from scratch!
