Memorial Day Weekend

We are so excited to finally have Jason back again,
that we made the most out of our long weekend together.
Saturday we drove over to Ft. Worth to ride the mini train at the zoo.
W loved the train, but had a very concerned face for most of the 40 minute voyage.
We had a brief break for popcorn, and then finished up our ride. It was excellent. So glad that we were finally able to take W on the train.

Saturday night we filled up our backyard pool and ordered some Thai food. W kept saying that his pool was "not like Gabby's", but he and Jason had a nice time splashing around and having a precious growling contest.

Sunday morning we met Uncle Nick for some breakfast tacos at the new neighborhood Taco Joint. W loves a cheese taco. Then it was back home to make some Oreo cookie cupcakes for our Monday morning parade supporting Luana's Little Library
While I baked cupcakes, Jason put W's new wagon together and then gave rides around the living room.
On Sunday evening, Jason and I had a little date night that involved The Avengers in 3D and some lobster bisque at Perry's. Another great day - and some much needed alone time (thanks to our favorite girl, Callie!).

Monday W participated in his first ever parade. He was happy to ride in his new wagon and wave his little flag. Then he hit the bounce house, the cake walk, and met the chick-fil-a cow (which blew his mind!!!).

Then it was on to Gabby's place to meet up with Katie, Brad, Gabby, and Pop Pops. We did lots of swimming, eating, and splashing. There was a pool race! There was some pool sweeping. There was even a time out involved because of TOO MUCH FUN! :)

Higher, Daddy!!

Swimming to Gabby!

Uncle Brad taught W some new tricks.

Happy Memorial Day!
We had a great day, not possible without the service and sacrifices of others.
Thank you.
