Father's Day - Part II

Yesterday was a lovely day for the Cassady household.

We started out with blunch at Tillman's Roadhouse with Jen & Manoj, our long lost buddies. We reconnected over some delicious dishes, my favorite being the garlic biscuit with poblano pepper gravy, my second favorite being the Sassy Sarah Martini. Good day!

Then we met the Cassady Clan for dinner to celebrate all of the dad's in the group.

By eight pm, Wyatt was tuckered out, so we put him in his little froggy jammies and tucked him into bed.

Happy first Father's Day, Jason.
You're a good dad. :)

Father's Day - Part I - Poolside at Gabby's

We've been spending all of our summer days at Gabby and Gramps', hanging out by the pool. Last night we celebrated Father's Day with Gramps,
since we'll be celebrating with my dad on Sunday.
Gabby made salmon and shrimp, mashed potatoes, a salad, and some yummy green beans. She also made Gramps' favorite dessert: pineapple upside down cupcakes. Since it is Gramps' favorite, it's probably my favorite, too...I like that guy.
Aunt Katie and Brad came over.
Everyone wanted to hold me - I'm pretty popular.

Gabby spent a lot of time keeping me entertained and I loved it! I even smiled like crazy for her, something that makes my mom jealous since I don't just hand those out to anyone.
I got super cranky around eight, but Gabby said it was cute, so I kept at it for about an hour. Mom didn't think it was as cute as Gabby did.

Dad - isn't he handsome? People say I look like him...

Adoring Gabby, as usual...

Sic 'em Bears...glad the Big 12 is staying together - mostly...

What mom? Can't you see that I'm with Gabby right now??

Cheers!

Yawn or squeal?

Thanks for a fun evening, Gabby. Let's do it again tomorrow. This time, I want steak. :)

Cat City Grill with Great Aunt Sue

Today Wyatt and I had a big "outing"; we went to Panther City and had lunch with Aunt Sue.
I chose the location, Cat City Grill, based on a recent article written in D Magazine. It was delicious, but the company was even better!

Here is the proof:

Out for a Walk

Before bedtime tonight, our little family went out for a walk.
Here is a picture of my boys (who are wearing matching shirts).

Tummy Time

Ah...the dreaded tummy time. Ten minutes twice a day, recommended by pediatricians everywhere to prevent your baby's head from getting flat. Recommended by pediatricians who don't have to listen to screaming babies. :)
Please watch the progression that goes from bad to worse.

Okay. This is crummy, but I have my pacifier, so I'll probably be okay.

Crap! Just out of reach. What do I do? What do I do?

The meltdown begins.

Tummy time was a complete fail. :)

We will try again tomorrow. Twice.

Have a Seat...

On Sunday, Jason built Wyatt a new toy that has been SO helpful.
It's a little rocking seat that also vibrates and plays songs and has a bright moving bee. Wyatt loves it and I love it because it means I can put him down for 10-20 minutes and wash some bottles, etc...

Take a look...

I GUESS you can take ANOTHER photo...

You wanna say something about the chair my dad put together? Huh? Meanest boy in town...right here.
