Out for a Walk

Before bedtime tonight, our little family went out for a walk.
Here is a picture of my boys (who are wearing matching shirts).

Tummy Time

Ah...the dreaded tummy time. Ten minutes twice a day, recommended by pediatricians everywhere to prevent your baby's head from getting flat. Recommended by pediatricians who don't have to listen to screaming babies. :)
Please watch the progression that goes from bad to worse.

Okay. This is crummy, but I have my pacifier, so I'll probably be okay.

Crap! Just out of reach. What do I do? What do I do?

The meltdown begins.

Tummy time was a complete fail. :)

We will try again tomorrow. Twice.

Have a Seat...

On Sunday, Jason built Wyatt a new toy that has been SO helpful.
It's a little rocking seat that also vibrates and plays songs and has a bright moving bee. Wyatt loves it and I love it because it means I can put him down for 10-20 minutes and wash some bottles, etc...

Take a look...

I GUESS you can take ANOTHER photo...

You wanna say something about the chair my dad put together? Huh? Meanest boy in town...right here.

Busy Bees - First Week of June 2010

We have been tearing up the highway between Dallas and Rowlett this week to visit with Gabby and get out of the house. Each time we get in the car seat and lock into the car, I immediately fall asleep. But if the car stops, I let mom know how unhappy I am with the situation.

This is Gabby's favorite picture right now. She has it up on her fridge. She calls it "the meanest boy in town" because my face is all banged up from my nails and because the look on my face is a little cantankerous. Gabby and Gramps have come up with all sorts of things I could be saying, based on the way I look. Those two are pretty hilarious.

We spent some time out at Great Aunt Sue's for Memorial Day. It was nice and cool on the lake and I made sure to stay in the shade. Here are some pictures from that fun day!

This week Gabby threw me my first ever luncheon. She served quiche and red, white, and blue salad - all of which was really tasty. We ate out by the pool and then Aunt Kathy and Aunt Vicki took turns passing me around. While Aunt Kath was holding me, I decided to smile for Gabby. It's something I've really started doing this week. But that quickly turned to a frown because I've also kind of been a fussy boy this week.

That's what I've been up to.
Lots of fun!

The Fathers Are Coming Home

This, by far, has been my favorite read this week.
Written by Margaret Wise Brown, The Fathers are Coming Home presents various types of fathers returning home to their babies at the end of the day. So sweet, and here is the biggest endorsement:

Naptime with Gramps

Today while Gabby and I were swimming and drinking Fresca's, Wyatt and Grandpa were catching some zzzzzzz's together.

Gabby said that Wyatt intentionally smiled two times for her - something he won't do for his own mom now that we are home. She also provided some visual stimulus via Mardi Gras beads and she had Wy doing tummy time. Our child prodigy ;) can hold his head up for a minute or two and he can also roll over half way. He's probably going to be a rocket scientist...
